Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior Low Voltage Technician for project-based, as-needed support on residential and commercial installs. This is a W-2 position designed for entry-level candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in structured cabling, equipment mounting, and basic technical field work.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who wants to learn the trade. You will work directly under a lead technician to ensure clean, high-quality installations for our clients in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.
Compensation & Schedule
- $18 - $24 per hour based on tool proficiency and aptitude
- W-2 Position: Not a 1099 contract; we handle withholdings and liability
- Project-Based: Hours vary based on active contracts (On-Call/As-Needed)
- This position does not include sales or lead commissions
Primary Duties
- Assisting with the pull, path, and termination of Cat6 and low-voltage wiring
- Mounting hardware including wireless access points, cameras, and enclosures
- Assisting in 'toning out' lines and labeling faceplates/patch panels
- Basic assembly of racks and cable management systems
- Maintaining a clean and organized job site
- Loading/unloading equipment and maintaining tool inventory
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using power drills and hand tools
- Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces (attics/crawlspaces) when required
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills for client-facing environments
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to pass a background check

We Provide: All specialized testing equipment, power tools, and required PPE (Hard hat, vest, eye pro).
