Network Technician

  • Job Type: Part-Time / On-Call

  • Pay Rate: $18–$28 per Hour + $250 Lead Commission

Job Summary

We're seeking a contract-to-hire, part-time, on-call Network Technician to support industrial and commercial networking projects across Middle Tennessee. This role is ideal for junior technicians or candidates with light experience who want to grow into structured cabling, hardware installs, and field networking work. You will assist with installs, service calls, SLA-driven response, and general low-voltage tasks under the guidance of the lead technician.

Compensation

  • $18–$28 per hour depending on experience
  • Higher rates for urgent SLA response calls
  • Paid drive time for emergency site visits
  • $250 commission for each referred lead that becomes a paying client

Duties

  • Pulling, terminating, and testing Cat6 cabling
  • Labeling and documenting network drops
  • Mounting and replacing switches, access points, and enclosures
  • Assisting with network upgrades and client onboarding
  • Troubleshooting basic connectivity issues
  • Responding to on-call/SLA tickets during assigned availability windows
  • Maintaining clean, safe work areas and following site safety rules

Requirements

  • Basic familiarity with Cat5e/Cat6 cabling and hand tools
  • Ability to terminate keystones and ends with guidance
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and work on ladders
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments
  • Eligible for a background check
  • Bonus: Experience with Ubiquiti, Omada, or Mikrotik hardware

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technician

  • Pay Rate: $15-$25/h

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on UAV technician to help service consumer drones and assist in the development, construction, and testing of our in-house aerial platforms.

This is not a role for drone hobbyists with only flight or DJI experience. We are seeking mechanically inclined technicians comfortable with disassembly, electronics, and reprogramming systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair consumer UAVs (Autel, DJI, FPV, etc.)
  • Perform part replacements, frame repairs, sensor calibrations, and test flights
  • Assist with custom UAV fabrication and internal R&D projects
  • Document work and contribute to repair knowledgebase

Minimum Requirements:

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • Proficiency in small electronics (soldering, wiring, troubleshooting)

Bonus Skills (Strongly Preferred):

  • FCC Ham Technician License
  • CAD experience (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.)
  • Programming experience (C++, Python, SQL, ASP)
  • Robotics, embedded systems, or radio telemetry background

This role may grow into a Crew Lead or Pilot-in-Command position for advanced candidates.
